I just discovered this fairly new, online magazine. It reminds me of the now defunct Domino magazine, sadly missed by me I might add. I'm thinking that online magazines might be our answer to the problem in paper print publishing. They are portable, free, fast, and compact. I will miss holding them in my hands, but this definitely could be good for my magazine hoarding habit. Plus, wherever I am, I can now call up a beautiful design photo at will. Love Celerie Kemble, and all the other great designers in this magazine. Thank you, Lonny! October/November | Lonnymag.com

My Aesthetic: Part II
Image via Ditte Isager (check out his website for more examples of his work and more of my preferred aesthetic. His food photos are amazing! It's very fitting he is from Denmark since it is one of my all time best places to live.)
Wow! I could take this room as-is! What I love about it is the rustic flooring within the loft setting. Love, love exposed pipes and industrial materials! The very textural blinds with a slight feminine print, the tufted couch (my personal fav), the loads of light, and of course, the statement pear chandelier. It doesn't get any better than this! Also, looks comfortable, low maintenance, and family and dog friendly...
My Aesthetic:
A perfect mix of Modern and Vintage
Notice the grey and cream tones that I love.
I also love linen and things worn over time.

Stay Tuned!
Since my blog is relatively new, I would like to start by writing a series of posts about my own personal design aesthetic. It is quite complicated and tends to change and evolve, so i think I whole series just might cover it! My last post about Bella Notte Linens was a good starting point. This photo really is a good example. Sorry, for some reason, I could not get this to be bigger. I am still working out the kinks in my technical ability.
My Aesthetic Part 1
Big contrast between light and dark. Love Grey, Love White....
The Cure for the 7-Year Itch!
In my experience, having been married for 7 years, the 7-year itch doesn't refer to the long-thought sudden pining for a different romantic partner after a magical 7 years of marriage. It has to do with the fact that, after 7 long years of using (and looking at!)the same darn towels, linens, furniture, and stuff that we normally buy or receive upon marriage, we start to notice all the holes, dirt, and wear that has accumulated and a jaded, worn-out feeling begins to wash over us. My own towels, received brand new and luxuriantly fluffy at my shower, now have what looks like mouse bites all over them.
Quite miraculously, I have found a cure for this dreaded disorder! Bella Notte linens! What better way to remake your marriage and rekindle that long lost romance. They even have apparel and some nice men's organic cotton T-shirts for my husband! If these don't help a marriage, then I am not sure what will.
Enjoy these. I sure did!
